I had great fun on a project to rebrand an Italian olive oil company. VerOlio is a small, family-run business, producing olive oil from the same grove of olive trees in Peschici, Puglia since 1880.
It's a very competitive market, especially if you're a smaller producer so I tried to go for as much visual impact as possible to help it stand out on the shelf. I was lucky enough to have a client who agreed with this approach and was willing to try something a bit different.
Budgetary constraints and printing limitations meant that a one-colour design made sense from an early stage. I designed packaging for their standard 5 litre olive oil cans, together with a double-sided hang tag.
