One Hour Photo
Photography has always been a great passion of mine, and I find it really complements my design work. Over a number of years I took photos during my lunch break. The limits of the area were determined by the distance I could cover on foot and still get back to work on time.
I really enjoyed the challenge of finding and making new images in the same area each day. It felt more like a game at times, the practice of trying to find interesting images for myself was more important than the end results – which was lucky as most days I was entirely unsuccessful!
It fascinates me that you can walk the same streets time and again and yet still find elements that surprise. I enjoy heading out each time without any expectation of what I’ll find or a fixed idea of what I’m looking for.
